Well, this is my first blog, first entry, etc...
Very short summary:
I have just completed an SDR radio, the RXTX, version 6.3.
It worked initially, but had very high NOISE! (S-9 + 10 dB with no antenna.)
Then, it stopped working altogether.
(The noise floor is now very LOW!)
I troubleshot down to U-10; I had good inputs, but no output.
The current draw of 90 Ma had risen to 160 Ma, after failure.
Using a temp-sensor, U-10 was at 100 degrees F after a few minutes, while the rest of the ICs were 10 to 15 degrees lower.
